22 - 5 SCOTTSDALE SHADOWS CONDO SALE, AND CALIFORNIA

The sale of the condo went as planned.  I've been packing and repacking since arrival and have to depart by the 26th of June.

Z'TEJAS HAPPY HOUR

I WILL MISS SCOTTSDALE SHADOWS AND MY FRIENDS

Fortunately I will still be visiting my doctors, family and friends especially my dear neighbor who has helped me through all this and enabled me to transition the move.

Berry, berry NICE

Pork Belly Outstanding

Artichokes and Mornay Sauce

Mick's Brassiere is a favorite for Happy Hour snacks with a French twist and Estevan to entertain you.    GrassRoots has a great Horseshoe Bar, drinks and small plates to please.

Grassroots is another favorite with wine on tap and small plates:
                                                                SALMON POKE WRAPS

                                                        BURRATA

Briona's Italian is another winner.

Carol and I seldom fix dinner with such fare available Monday through Friday.

We took a walk in the park last week then later took my Grandson's Cameron and Roman out for dinner at Arriba's Mexican.  It used to be very good...now it's OK.

Good Old Boy's playing with their Boats

Arriba used to be a "GO TO" place for Good Mexican food...now OK!

WE ENJOYED OUR FAMILY GATHERING WITH BOTH GRANDSONS

Another Happy Hour favorite of Jeannie's...Los Sombreros

I decided it was time to surprise Carol with a train ride to Silverton Colorado right here in Phoenix.  The Grand Lux at Platform 18. Enjoy the winter view from inside a vintage 1920 train car with period bartenders' and waiters' to serve you the best cocktails in the world.
Friendly Fellow Travelers

This is a Drink

We needed some culture.  The Phoenix Art Museum satisfied that.

CAR HOOD

NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS BUT COULD BE BUT IT'S NOT

FIREFLIES

Today we pack, tomorrow we drive to Glen Eden for 4 days to visit Heather, Allen and their family in Lake Elsinore California. Long trip but we made it...no cameras allowed in public areas.

We had a good nights rest after a long drive and a wonderful meal at the Sunrise Cafe.  Got some sun and it felt great...then drove 10 minutes to Heather's home, had a nice birthday dinner of Steak , Baked Potato, Salad and a nice dessert before working it all off with a walk to Lake Elsinore Lake.
Is it Ready Yet?

Awesome Dessert

Happy Birthday David...guess what I have for you?

Saturday Allen drove us to Dana Point for lunch at the Ritz Carlton Laguna.
We walked the grounds first then had a table with a view for a fantastic Luncheon.

We returned home for a game of Mexican Dominos with Chase, Ellie, Carol and I .  Chase ran off so Heather filled in..then Heather ran off and Allen filled in.  Chase...though only playing a short time , still managed to WIN?  We had some Chicken BBQ and called it a day. These were photos I forgot to add of the Ritz as well as a stop at a Lake Elsinore Overlook .

..and just over that hill is the Pacific Ocean

WHO'S HAND IS THAT!! HAVE YOU NO SHAME?

The following and last day, we merged and all ate out on Mother's Day at Annie's.  A really nice popular spot in Lake Elsinore...it was packed but Allen made reservations and they called us 10 minutes before so we drove up and was seating right away.  Great Service and Food.

The drive home on Monday went quickly.  We stopped for gas once and arrived by 3 pm for Happy Hour at Uncle Sal's...not as good as the Ritz but satisfying.

Chicken in Wine sauce with Pasta and Eggplant and Pasta...so hungry I forgot to take a photo before we started eating....The next day was Happy Hour outdoors at Lon's ...a Scottsdale favorite.
Wednesday Jeannie our neighbor, got us tickets for the Desert Botanical Gardens with a Sculpture displays in glass through out.  We had a quick Happy Hour at the Twisted Grove before walking the gardens.  It was a beautiful exhibit and evening for the walk.

A WONDERFUL DAY- VEGAS IS COMING UP
