Skyline Parkway...and a week of Rest

They trip to Ivor went the long was so they could experience the Skyline Highway through the National Park from Front Royal Virginia all the way to North Carolina...we opted to get off after two hours and opt for the expressway the rest of the trip. White Tail was a classy resort and we had a lovely "hotel type" room, close to everything.  The faculties consisted of a beautiful large club house with attached restaurant.  There was an indoor and outdoor pool with a snack bar and cabana.  No pictures allowed of course...sorry.  We were close to Jamestown and Williamsburg so took a trip the next day to visit.  We spent some time in the town of Williamsburg but because of the heat and the expense, decided to forgo the Old Williamsburg.  We visited the museum in Jamestown and also decided not to go to Virginia Beach.  The travel took us across the James River in a Ferry and returned us across the James further down the road, on a bridge.  There was a Pig, Pine and Peanut Festival in the nearby town we tried to see one day.  There were no signs and after over a half hour driving the town from one end to the other we gave up and returned home.  Our 5 days at White Tail was a very relaxing break in the trip.  Now we headed for Richmond Virginia and on to the Pocanos for a stay over at another Naturist Resort...Sunny Rest.
